Getting a card

Who can get a card

Anyone residing in New Boston or the surrounding area may obtain a library card by providing proof of current address.  Parents must sign for anyone under 17.  There is a $1.00 replacement fee for a lost card.

How to Get Your Card
A person desiring a library card must come to the Library and fill out an application.  A parent must fill out the application and sign for anyone under 17. 

Borrowing Limits

A patron is allowed to borrow 6 books and 3 videos or DVDs.  Books are borrowed for 14 days and videos and DVDs for 5 days.  Parents are responsible for materials borrowed by children under the age of 17.

Placing Holds
A patron is allowed to place 3 holds on library material.  Items  may be placed on hold either by phone, online, or in person.  The Library will contact you by phone or email when the requested item is ready to be picked up.  Reserves are held for one week at the Circulation Desk.

Renewing Your Borrowed Items

Items may be renewed over the phone, online, or in person at the Library. Books may be renewed 2 times and DVDs 1 time.

Library Fines
Fines are as followed:  Books and Audiobooks - $ .30 per item per day; Movies - $1.00 per day.
